Fernando Mastrangelo

Genius, prodigy, mastermind, are adjectives to describe the Brooklyn based artist. Having worked with cocaine, food, human ashes, sugar and gunpowder, the virtuoso sculptor has found stardom by exploring and creating works using the narrative of politics, human rights, ancient history, philosophy, and environment. His latest work "Al One" where he is collaborating with Napster Founder Shawn Fanning addresses the increasing complexities of social networking.. Mastrangelo's " Avarice", made from White Mexican Corn is in the permanent collection of the Brooklyn Museum.
